HOW WE TOOK ON THIS TASTY TASK
SUMMARY
The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau (GWCVB) is the premier tourism agency in Wilmington, Delaware. The agency’s main goal is to encourage and boost tourism to greater Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley.
Recognizing the rising trend of culinary tourism and expressing a desire to highlight the area’s burgeoning food landscape, Full Plate Media was engaged to provide culinary editorial content for the GWCVB’s website.
DELIVERABLES
The main goal of this project is to create food-focused content that highlights greater Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley’s dining scene. Through creative collaboration, it was agreed upon that Full Plate Media would leverage the GWCVB’s existing website and audience and produce online content to be published on the platform.
The project is a year-long effort and content is published weekly for a total of 52 blog posts for the campaign’s duration. Each post is accompanied by photography provided by Full Plate Media and amplified through our own social media channels as well as those of GWCVB.
RESULTS
The project is still ongoing; however, metrics show increased readership and audience engagement. The online food-focused content, written under the banner of the GWCVB’s Good Taste food blog, has gained popularity and is positioned to become one of the most-visited sections of the GWCVB’s website.
